We are pleased to announce that, again this year, several wines from Albert Bichot have been awarded at the International Wine Challenge and Decanter World Wine Awards.
As you probably know, these competitions during which almost 20,000 different wines are tasted are considered as the most rigorous, impartial and influential wine competitions in the world.
The juries are composed of leading wine journalists, wine writers, winemakers and wine professionals (sommeliers, importers, senior buyers), many of them being “Master of Wine” or “Master Sommelier”.

We’re delighted to announce that Coates & Seely has been awarded the Best in Show Trophy at this year’s Decanter World Wine awards, with a score of 97pts and a Platinum Medal.
It’s the first time a non-vintage wine has won this award and it’s testament to our outstanding team of winemakers and vineyard workers, as well as the natural ‘talent’ of our Hampshire chalk terroir.
The judges comprised a panel of 5 masters of Wine who commented:
“ There’s no rule that English sparkling wines must feature in our Best in Show selection; quality is all. What distinguishes this wine is that it’s not a vintage or late-disgorged speciality, as with previous Best in Show winners, but a non-vintage blend of the three classic varieties. It’s pale gold in colour, with a steady stream of fine bubbles; aromatically you’ll find ultra-freshness and a distinctive sappy cool infusing the shy orchard fruits, like a sniff of an early spring morning before the mist has lifted. It’s taut, tight and stony on the palate, in bracing aperitif style — but the quality of the fruit, teased to ripeness over the long-houred English summer, is there for all to taste. “ 97/100 pts
